I want to share what life is like going through medical school, being a part of a sorority, and living in kc all with God by my side! I can't wait to share the successes and setbacks this new world of medicine has brought me and taught me!
Hi there! I'm so glad you made your way to my little blog! My name is olivia lyon, but most people just call me liv. I grew up in what my roommate calls 'hickville' lol, otherwise known as ozark missouri. My hometown is right between branson and springfield and I absolutely ADORE it :) A quick trip to the local grocery store doesn't exist without making conversation about the latest high school football game.
I graduated high school in 2019, and am currently enrolled in my second semester at the six year medical school at UMKC. This school combines four years of undergraduate and four years of medical school into six years total. Let's not forget that the dorms are walking distance from the plaza! If you've never been to kansas city, it's an area that consists of the best restaurants and shopping centers! Call me a bandwagoner, but ever since moving to kc, I've been a die hard chiefs fan. My parents would kill me if I said the same about them because they've been fans since 99' when my dad went to medical school here haha.

I loved my childhood, but there was one day that trumped the others and that day was sundays, because who doesn't love being woken up by the smell of sweet maple syrup?! Every sunday my dad would make fresh french toast and my family and I would all eat together before heading to church. Going to church has always been routine with my family, so God and I are old friends! After church, we would make a quick stop a taco bell on our way to grandmas pool! We spent a lot of weekends and summers eating popsicles and playing alligator crossing, or making an eiffel tower by sitting on each others shoulders haha. My mom and my grandma are the cutest people ever always tanning and reading a book and my dad was just as goofy as us kids lol.
